The Scarsdale Public Library will host a virtual book talk with Stephanie Newman, author of “Barbarians at the PTA,” Thursday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Newman’s heartfelt and hilarious debut novel is about a mother-daughter duo facing cliques, cyberbullying and snobs in a wealthy New York City suburb. Psychologist Victoria starts over, moving with her 10-year-old to a new town where she faces off with patients and PTA moms while helping her daughter navigate the social landscape and figuring out how to date as a single mom.
