Food critic Jeff Gordinier, author of "Hungry: Eating, Road-Tripping, and Risking It All with the Greatest Chef in the World," will read and sign books at Bronx River Books Thursday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m. "Hungry" chronicles the four years Gordinier spent traveling with René Redzepi, the renowned Danish chef of Noma — ranked as the best restaurant in the world for four years, currently No. 2 — in search of the most tantalizing flavors the world has to offer, from tacos in the Yucatan to sea urchins in the Arctic Circle.

A food and drinks editor of Esquire, Gordinier is responsible for compiling the magazine’s annual list of best restaurants in America. He graduated from Princeton University, is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, and lives in Irvington.
