As a certified lyengar yoga teacher with more than 20 years of experience, Nancy Kardon knows how to guide students of all ages and abilities. She will hold a session Saturday, Sept. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. With the main building on Olmsted Road closed for a major renovation, the group will meet at the Betty Taubert Girl Scout House, 37 Wayside Lane. Bring a yoga mat, blocks and belt (optional).

No one is too stiff, out of shape, too stressed or too old to begin Iyengar yoga. Required is a willingness to learn about yourself and work with your challenges steadily, one step at a time. Over time with practice you will be stronger, and aches and pains will lessen while you gain endurance, flexibility, balance and equilibrium in this practice of meditation in action.

Registration is required at scarsdalelibrary.org or call 722-1302.
