Anne Christie Hodges died peacefully in her home on March 5 at age 91.

Born July 3, 1927, Mrs. Hodges was a lifelong resident of Scarsdale. The daughter of Robert Erskine and Ruth (Woodhouse) Christie, she attended Fox Meadow Elementary School and later Scarsdale High School. She studied English at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and was a member of Hitchcock Presbyterian Church.

Loved ones said Mrs. Hodges spent her life caring for her family, her home and her loyal Westie of 17 years, Duncan.

Mrs. Hodges was predeceased by her husband John T. Hodges in 1996. She is survived by her daughter Carol Hodges (Brian) Balodis of Southampton, New York, and son John Hodges of Eureka, California, as well as her two grandchildren, Christian and Erika.

Mrs. Hodges will be buried alongside her parents and husband at Woodlawn Cemetery. Dates for a memorial service have not been determined.
