Claire Naughton Bell, NYU professor, nutritionist and food stylist, died Jan. 2 at age 92 from complications of heart surgery.

A graduate of Cornell University, with a master’s degree in food science, Mrs. Bell traveled the world with her husband Charles, an international hotel developer with Hilton International. From a young age, she wanted to explore other cultures and countries and fulfilled her dreams by traveling to an incredible number of countries on all continents but Antarctica.

Mrs. Bell, originally from Brighton, Massachusetts, and her husband were longtime residents of Manhattan before moving to Scarsdale in 2003. Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter Jane Cammarata, her son-in-law James Cammarata and three grandchildren Zander, Sarah and Sophie Cammarata.

The memorial service will be held at Scarsdale Congregational Church Jan. 12 at 11 a.m.
