Ethel B. Sutton died peacefully in her home Feb. 3 at age 90. 

Born June 23, 1928, Ms. Sutton lived in Scarsdale most of her life. The daughter of Frances and Oscar Blinn, she attended Edgewood School and Scarsdale High School, later studying English literature at Mount Holyoke College. After graduation, she worked at Macmillan in New York City, where she met Joseph G. Sutton Jr., whom she married in 1955.

After her husband’s death in 1979, Ms. Sutton became a financial manager, working first at Avco Corp. and later for the Evergreen Funds. In retirement she was active at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club, first as head of the Finance Committee and then as chair of the literature section. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Caroline E. Sutton and Neil B. Olson.
