Jean Forte, 89, of Scarsdale, died Nov. 10. She was married May 20, 1950 to Joseph Forte and they shared 23 years together.

Mrs. Forte was born in Harlem, New York, on Oct. 26, 1930 and graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. She worked as an administrative assistant for Kreisler, Borg and Florman General Construction Co. for more than 20 years. She was the first president of the Scarsdale Women’s Emblem Club. Her family said she enjoyed dancing and playing cards.

Mrs. Forte is survived by her daughters Theresa Boggi and Denise (Donald) Beniamino; son Carl; grandchildren John Boggi, Joseph (Louise) Isidori, Jennifer (Jason) Farrenkopf, Kristina (Brian) Eslick and Cristie (Tim) Forte; great-grandchildren Sophia, Logan, Graeme, Roman and Jon; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her sisters Alice (Joseph) Petruzzellis and Mary Brocoli, and her son-in-law Anthony Boggi.

A private visitation will be held for her immediate family at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Home prior to mass. A mass for all others who would like to pay their respects will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale on Monday, Nov. 18, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
