Johanna (Jeanette) Tucciarone, formerly of Scarsdale, died Nov. 1. She was born and raised in New York City. In 2008, she and her daughter moved to Glen Allen, Virginia. At that time, she chose to live in an independent living facility, St. Mary’s Woods in Richmond. Loved ones said she enjoyed her life there, made many friends and was involved in numerous charities and activities.

Mrs. Tucciarone fractured her femur in early October and her health rapidly declined. Her husband Anthony predeceased her in 2003. Her family described her as “a very kind and generous person.”

Mrs. Tucciarone is survived by her son Richard of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and his partner Janet Cardillo; daughter Linda of Glen Allen, Virginia; daughter-in-law Louise; grandsons Richard and Thomas; granddaughter Laura; great-grandsons Anthony and Kaleb; granddaughter-in-law Wendy; grandson-in-law Ryan and goddaughter Lydia.

A prayer service by rector Tom Newcomb was held Nov. 7 in the chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. Donations may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or a charity of the donor’s choice.
