Due to deep blue sunny skies and warm weather, Scarsdale Seniors had another fantastic day at the Scarsdale Pool complex on the last Thursday in June. Freshly baked pizzas and creamy ice cream from O’Neill’s concession stand were the main attraction as seniors socialized with friends. Thank you to Mike O’Neill and staff for running a smooth operation and thank you to Dan Walczewski, pool manager, for set-up and Isabell for a clean locker room.

Other activities included canasta, water aerobics and an animal and Weinberg Nature Center presentation from the new naturalist, Sam Weinstock, who shared his poetry and love of animals. He is open to suggestions from seniors on how to make Weinberg more enjoyable for seniors.

All Scarsdale residents, 60 years of age or older, are welcome to become members of the Scarsdale Seniors and take advantage of the excellent fitness program, wellness presentations and exciting trips. The annual fee is $15 for residents; former taxpaying residents of 30 years or parents of children who live in Scarsdale are welcome to join the club for $20. Call 722-1160 for further information.
