It was an evening of emotional pleas for racial equality and justice as hundreds attended a vigil in Chase Park Sunday in honor of George Floyd, who was killed in police custody in Minneapolis. Speakers included Scarsdale residents Christopher Jackson and Mimi Rocah, Scarsdale Mayor Marc Samwick, Mt. Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard, former Scarsdale High Social Studies teacher Rashid Silvera, and several current and former Scarsdale High School students.

can you please elaborate on what active change is being made in Scarsdale as a result of this movement? Is there any forward motion on the affordable housing that Scarsdale is currently in contempt of court by not building?
