Coming into one of the tougher games on the schedule, the Edgemont boys lacrosse team went into the Rye game expecting to put up a fight. Despite league powerhouse Rye being able to utilize their seasoned lineup, the Panthers stood tall and did not back down.

After an exciting win early last week, the Edgemont girls lacrosse team closed out the regular season with two incredibly hard fought games against Irvington and Dobbs Ferry.

Coming off a two-game winning streak, the Edgemont boys lacrosse team sought to bring home a win against league foe Pelham. Despite Pelham making a big playoff run last year, Edgemont came in ready to fight on their home turf on their very own senior night.

In one half of lacrosse, both the Edgemont and Valhalla girls teams led by three goals. The Panthers got off to the hot start with a quick 3-0 lead, but Valhalla not only tied the game, but had a three-goal lead of its own at halftime.

Coming into a big league game against Eastchester, the Edgemont boys lacrosse team was looking to rise above .500 in league play. Eastchester, however, had other plans, dominating in a 15-5 win as the Panthers didn’t come out with the proper sense of urgency.

As the Edgemont girls lacrosse team has started this season on a very high note — seven wins and one close loss — the Panthers are looking to continue their success as they head into the harder, more competitive half of their season.
